On September 27, 2025, Union Catholic High School celebrated its Third Annual Food Truck Festival, bringing together students, families, and community members for a day filled with food, fun, and support for the school’s athletic programs.
The festival, an idea initiated by Athletic Director Mr. Dave Luciano along with the Athletic Marketing Team and the Parent Athletic Council, has grown in popularity each year. “Food Truck Festivals have been very popular in surrounding towns, so we thought it was perfect for our school to host an event on our spacious front lawn,” Luciano explained.
Featuring a variety of food trucks, live music, a beer and wine garden, and child-friendly activities, the festival offers something for everyone while raising funds for the school’s athletics. Union Catholic Senior, Sahar Ahad, shared her excitement about the event: “My favorite part was hanging out with my friends and trying new foods. It’s a chance to make good memories with friends and family.”
Parent Georgia Thompson also emphasized the festival’s community-building aspect: “We came to support the school and spend time as a family. It’s a fun way to meet other Union Catholic families and helps create stronger community bonds.”
The festival has evolved into more than just an event; it’s a cherished tradition that brings people together, fostering connections among students, parents, and teachers. Thompson remarked, “Events like this make the school feel more like a community rather than just a place to learn.”
When asked if she would attend again, Thompson enthusiastically replied, “Of course! It’s a great way to build community and show school spirit.”
The Annual Food Truck Festival continues to strengthen Union Catholic’s community ties, proving that when people come together, great things can happen.
