Back to School
Summer break is done, and back to school,
A new year of learning is super cool!
New teachers, new friends, we will meet.
New lessons on subjects and many worksheets.
New backpacks zipped and ready to go,
Excitement and full of zest overflow.
We hop on the bus and say hello to a friend.
Someone we know and can depend.
The first bell rings and we’re off to class!
We speed walk, not run, through hallways en masse.
Classrooms a buzz with students alike,
As we listen to our principal on the mic.
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors,
Our UC fellow classmen strive to be dreamers.
Together we laugh, we learn, we rise, and fall.
No matter the circumstance, we go through it all.
We reach for the stars and yearn for our dreams,
Willed to be our best and shine like light beams.
We spend each day to grow and build,
With bright ideas our heads are filled.
As time passes, we take a brave step into the future,
And make each moment like an adventure.
So Vikings, let’s enjoy and make this year a blast!
Because time really does go by fast.
